About the event

What is it?

The Pokémon League is a specialized type of format that is home to The Forge. With this league being a duo format, each player will be paired with another player over the course of three weeks. This format is to drive a fair and consistent playing field for both new and experienced players. Each player has the same advantage as one another rather than straight up stompy game plays.

Players will get an initial box containing a deck as well as some packs. Each week, you will be expanding upon that with new packs you get through playing the league. The only cards allowed during the three (3) weeks are those gained from the league itself. All outside cards are prohibited and will cause the player to be disqualified from the league.

FAQ

Q. You mention that the decks and cards need to be verified, what gives?

A. Due to the prize at the end, we need to ensure all players are keeping their decks regulated based on what was given. This is to help make it fair and consistent for everyone.

Q. Am I allowed to swap out some of my cards that are the same with other sets?

A. No, you will be required to use ONLY the set utilized within the League.

Q. Am I allowed to swap out some of my cards that are the same different arts in this play set?

A. Sorry, this we will also deny as we want all the images to match up with what you have in your deck. This helps make the verification process easier.

Q. Why do we have to participate in EVERY event? What happens if I were to be sick or something causing me to miss a week?

A. Well we all know life happens which may prevent you from coming to one of the weeks in league. With that said, we would try and work something out as a Case-by-Case scenario. We want to prevent people from signing up and just trying to participate in the 1stand final week for the Prize Pack at the end.

Q. Ok, so I’m invested now, how many Leagues per year are you planning to do?

A. We will aim to do one a quarter per calendar year, so quick answer four (4). This allows us to take a break between and for a new set to hopefully drop so we don’t duplicate sets. If players are interested in just kicking off a new League right away, we will certainly be open to that.

Q. I have a suggestion or an idea, are you open to those?

A. Everyone is welcome and highly encouraged to give any suggestions or ideas they may have. We are here to drive a great gaming community and we need those to help make it happen! We evaluate everything that is submitted to us and review to see what a great fit for the business may be.
